My Wedding Details

The details of our wedding have received so much attention since Vogue's article, and this TikTok analysis definitely left our jaws on the floor. Behind all of the pictures was so much depth and substance; at the wedding itself, there were hours of story telling and laughter. We were glad to have the event be special for our families.
For the wedding detail junkies, here is some additional background on how I thought about everything to inspire you in any way possible. So much care and energy went into every design decision to make the day perfect.
Years ago, I came across this picture of a pile of colorful ribbons. This color palette has stuck with me since: it spans every season, and it feels feminine with a playful edge. This color palette inspired these dinner plates and salad plates, which we used on our special day. The colors for the table flowers were meant to match, and the dustiness of the dried flower "plate crowns" worked perfectly.
If special china is not in the budget for your special day, a less expensive way to personalize each plate is by doing your menu in a round shape, to sit in the basin of the plate. Zazzle was an affordable option for our circular menus. Here is the exact product that I purchased. I made the menu file itself nude pink, so that's how Zazzle printed it. The laser cut flower placecards were from Etsy, and here is the exact product that I purchased to do these in pastel pink. I painted each guest's name with watercolor. The rest of the wedding paper goods were done by The Printery. This delightful flatware is Chefanie.
Since we had such untraditional table flowers, I selected the most foliate stemware: these Wine Glasses, with their tumbler counterparts

As promised, here's a video of how to pipe hydrangea petals onto a cake with buttercream. In addition to being beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. My signature chocolate cake recipe can be found in my forthcoming book.
