My favorite component of the Passover seder plate, charoset represents the mortar used to build the pyramids in Egypt. It tastes like a spiced dessert

INGREDIENTS: 

• 6 red apples, peeled and finely chopped
• 1 c walnuts, chopped
• 2 c red wine
• 2 t cinnamon
• 1 t salt 

DIRECTIONS: 

• Mix together all ingredients 

Serves 6.
