Farfalle Meatball Bites
I'd been obsessed with this recipe since I'd seen it on Pinterest, and for my Pasta Party, I was determined to make it!
Guests were greeted with "Farfalle Bites": mini dime-size meatballs, a basil leaf, and a farfalle bow on a toothpick.
Ingredients:
- 1 box of Farfalle pasta
- 1 pound of beef
- 1/2 pound of veal
- Salt
- Basil
- Toothpicks
- Tomato Sauce
Directions:
To make meatballs: I combined 1 part pork, 2 parts beef, and a generous pinch of salt. Then, I rolled the meatballs into little dime-size balls and baked them in the oven at 400 degrees Farenheit for 10 minutes.
To make the farfalle: I boiled pasta following the box's instructions.
Assembly: I combined a farfalle pasta bow with 1 basil leaf and 1 meatball on a toothpick. On each serving tray, we placed 8 farfalle bites with my housemade tomato sauce for guests to dip. We warmed each platter in the microwave for 10 seconds as we cycled through each tray.
