This recipe was adapted from Magnus Nilsson’s recipe for Gwyneth Paltrow’s The Clean Plate, and it has quickly become my favorite healthy snack and hors d’oeuvres vehicle. They are gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, and so delicious!
1 cup flaxseeds
2 T tapioca starch
1 t kosher salt
1/2 cup black sesame seeds
1/2 cup white sesame seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
2 cups boiling water
1 T Montreal spice
Preheat oven to 320 degrees F
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix, and let stand for 15 minutes
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
Pour half of the mixture onto each baking sheet and flatten with a non-stick spatula. The cracker sheet should be about 3 seeds thick.
Sprinkle with Montreal Spice
Bake for 45 minutes or until the cracker is dry
Break into large pieces
Enjoy with hummus, tzatziki, smoked salmon, eggs, or by itself.
