The fourth of July is best spent in good company, stress-free. These simple, yet show-stopping ideas can adorn your table and impress your guests. Paired with our red, white, and blue table settings and decorative pieces, you are sure to be set for any patriotic party this year.
1. Patriotic Cheese Board
For this festive dish you will need:
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Mozzarella Bocconcini
- Provolone
The fruit can be swapped for your preferred red or blue fruits and any white cheese will do! Swap yogurt covered pretzels with “cheese-stars” using a star shaped cookie-cutter for ease and precision. Cut the strawberries into heart shapes for extra sweetness.
2. Red, White & Blue Sangria
For this recipe you will need:
- White Wine: a bottle of chilled Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, for example.
- Fruit Flavored Liqueur: Triple Sec
- White grape or peach juice
- Fresh Fruit: Strawberries and Blueberries
3. Flowers
In our part of the world, blue and white hydrangeas abound in July. Add some red roses or poppies to pull the color palette together. Pop them into blue & white decorative vases or the silver vases above for easy arranging. These can decorate your dining or buffet tables, bathrooms, or entry ways.
4. Cake
A cake is what makes a party a party. Some ideas to decorate the outside of a plain cake:
- Wrap in Flag Chefanie Sheets (above)
- Decorate with red, white, and blue edible flower petals
- Decorate with red, white, and blue m&ms
- Make a flag out of blueberries and raspberries
You can also make the inside of a cake look like a flag, so that guests are surprised when they cut into it.
Cookies and donuts are also fun, individually portioned desserts for the festive holiday.
5. The Table
This is your change to show your style. Whether it's with new or vintage linens, the table is the most important place to decorate your party.
