Heermance Farm delivered the most beautiful fresh edible flowers to my house in Westchester. I have used edible flowers to make savory goat cheese hors d'oeuvres, but here's how to make sugar cookies with edible flowers:
  • Make sugar cookie dough using this recipe.
  • Roll out sugar cookie dough on a flour-covered cool surface.
  • Cut the dough into the desired shape using a cookie cutter.
  • Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Gently press the flowers into the dough. You can use Calendula, Dianthus, Bachelor Button, Marigold, and more.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes at 325 F until there is a faint golden brown color around the edges.
  • Voila! Enjoy.
